Ceremonial Cacao & Cacao Ceremonies

“A Mayan legend tells us that whenever there is an imbalance between humans and nature, cacao comes from the rainforest to open people’s hearts and return the planet to a state of harmony. Some shamans therefore consider cacao the 'food for the shift'. It represents the new order of love and peace, which is being cultivated right now.”

                                                                        Keith Wilson, the Cacao Shaman

Both Cocoa (chocolate) and Cacao are produced from fermented seeds of the Theobroma Cacao tree from South America. It grows in the Amazon rainforest, 1000 miles either side of the equator, where there is lots of water and some shade, and often alongside coffee and bananas. Cocoa and chocolate have large amounts of sugar and fat added to them, and are more processed to improve its flavour and texture, whereas Cacao is as raw and unspoilt as possible. Cacao, although a little bitter in taste, retains its sacred properties. The Cacao used in our ceremonies is organic and hand produced to a high standard in Guatemala.

Cacao is a gentle plant medicine and can be taken for medicinal purposes or in ceremony. When used in ceremony, and  with intention, the Cacao spirit gently opens our heart centres, helping us to make deeper connections with ourselves, our inner self, with nature, with our friends and partners. It can guide us, teach us, and also enhance our creativity. During ceremony, Cacao helps us to relax, release unwanted negative or blocked energy, to become more grounded and revitalised. It can bring clarity of thought, make us more alert, and give us more energy. It will give us just what we need.

Cacao is full of nutrients and minerals and is considered a superfood, full of health-giving properties, active compounds, and rich chocolate flavour.

The Spirit of Cacao

I was first introduced to the Spirit of Cacao in 2017, and after a few ceremonies I felt called to offer ceremonies myself. So I trained as a Cacao Ceremony facilitator with Joanna Casey, who trained in Guatemala with Keith Wilson, the Cacao Shaman.

I am now happy to be able to offer Cacao Ceremonies from Heart Song, or am happy to travel to other venues for groups and events. My ceremonies include a meditation to help open the heart and assist the Spirit of Cacao to work her magic. They may include journeying and drumming, or a gentle gong bath. During the journeying or relaxation aspect of the ceremony you may connect with your spirit guides, and receive images and messages. Your experience will be exactly what you need at the time.

I can facilitate ceremonies is a group setting or on a one to one basis.

I would also be happy to organise groups or events with others, as Cacao can enhance the experience of drumming, meditation, dancing, singing, sound baths and even yoga sessions. Contact me if you're interested!

Cacao Ceremony is a beautiful and powerful

way to expand your heart energy. The Cacao

helps to open your heart centre, connect with your highest self, increase creativity, enhance intuition and release any blocks that are holding you back in any area of your life. Cacao is a plant medicine that is also a highly nutrient superfood. Cacao ceremonies provide a safe and sacred space where you can open your heart and mind. Setting clear intentions for the ceremony will help you to fully expand your consciousness and raise your energy vibration to a higher level.
During the meditation/journey aspect of the ceremony, a gong will be played gently in the background to enhance the flow of energy around us.
Please bring something comfortable to lie on and a blanket to keep you warm and cosy.

Cushions and a few blankets are available to use.

Fair Energy Exchange for this event is £20
A £10 deposit is required to reserve your place.
